Dubai-based airline Emirates is adding flights to a further 10 destinations over the next few weeks, bringing the total number of flight routes to 40.
The airline will resume flights to Colombo from June 20, Sialkot from June 24 and Istanbul from June 25. From July 1, Emirates will resume flights to Auckland, Beirut, Brussels, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, followed by Barcelona and Washington DC from 15 July.
The new routes compliment the 30 already announced flights for transit passengers. As of June 25, Emirates will resume flights to Kabul, Afghanistan, an addition to the flights now operating between Dubai and Bahrain, Manchester, Zurich, Vienna, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dublin, New York JFK, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Taipei, Hong Kong, Perth and Brisbane, London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris, Milan, Madrid, Chicago, Toronto, Sydney and Melbourne, Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
In addition, Emirates will increase flights to London Heathrow, Manchester, Frankfurt, Paris, Zurich, Madrid, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dublin, New York JFK, Toronto, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Customers can book to fly between destinations in the Asia Pacific and Europe or the Americas, with a convenient connection in Dubai, as long as they meet travel and immigration entry requirements of their destination country.
The announcement comes in the same week that the government confirmed that it would be easing travel restrictions for UAE residents from June 23. A new set of guidelines released for those wishing to travel abroad includes a tiered risk system for destinations, mandatory medical checks before departure and self-quarantine requirements upon return.
